Course Goals and Objectives

 

- Cultivation of technical essay writing and presentation skills which are useful for planning R&D and manufacturing in IT areas

- Learning the cooperation work that is highly required in IT profession - Improving communication skills

- Exposing them to the important issues in contemporary IT engineering area

Course Description, Methods, and Materials

 

○ Team teaching by Prof. Yeong Ho Ha (2hrs) and Prof. Young Mee Kim (2hrs)

○ Essay Writing with correction feedback (5 topics, Every two or three weeks)

○ Presentations: 3 presentations (every four weeks, group presentation not personal)
- tentative topics: research and development, design and testing, manufacturing and industry

○ Teamwork is essential: Each group of five students is recommended to discuss actively

○ Around half of the team leaders will be appointed as female students.

 

Assignments and Grading Criteria

 

Essay Writing: 40%

Presentations: 30%

Teamwork and participation: 20%

Quiz/participation: 10%

Notice To Students

 

Each group of five students has to make a good cooperation for improving English.

Grouping will be done considerately so that all groups have even strengths and advantages.

The teachers will observe the teamwork and improvement in each team and compare teams in grading.
